Throughout the play, The Blood of a Stranger, deceit permeates every aspects of the characters' lives especially the antagonist such as Whitehead, Maligu, Parker and Soko. Maligu's deception is made known from his plans to make fortune from the white man's visit, at the expense of the people of Mandoland. This is evident in his conversation with Soko, from whom he canvasses support for his mischief. To the morally dangling priest, he says: "Do you want to die a poor man?" Similarly, Soko deceives the entire village regarding the coming of the white man when he lies that the oracle has indeed prophesied the event and that a virgin girl be sacrificed. In addition, the white man, Whitehead, and his assistant, Parker, connive to rob the village of her naturally endowed diamond while fooling the king and the palace chiefs that his mission is to
empower the villagers through tobacco farming. With this, Charley seems to portray the deceptive and amoral means, which the White colonialists used in raping their colonies, African countries, of their God- given natural resources.

The Dining Table is a serious poem that records what the poet witnessed during the Sierra Leonean war. The poem opens with a powerful use of imagery that sparks off the reader’s senses. The poet describes to the reader the horrific nature of the war which was characterised mainly by shootings, maiming and death. The main cause of conflict was the struggle for the control of Sierra Leonean diamonds, the most significant mineral wealth in Sierra Leone which the poet symbolically
portrayed as “dinner”. In the second verse, the poet recalls how the guerrillas operated freely and how they brutally killed and terrorised the people. He remembers how the government forces and their allies which he describes as “crocodiles” also killed and committed atrocities during the war. He also recalls how Sierra Leone was thereafter threatened by an outbreak of the cholera epidemic which led to the death of many of its population. In the third verse, the poet resolves to be a change- agent (a revolutionary). He admits that though he desires a political revolution, he lacks the
power and the needed support for a revolution, having just survived a
brutal war.

The poem “The Pulley” illustrates the relationship between God and man especially his benevolence to man. The first stanza describes how God made man and blessed him with worldly riches: “When God at first made man, Having a glass of blessings standing by”. The stanza also portrays the concept of Trinity as seen in the Biblical creation story in Genesis: “Let us, said he pour on him all we can” (Note the use of the phrase “Let us”).
In the second stanza, God actually poured his blessings of strength,
beauty, wisdom, honour and pleasure on man but withheld one important blessing- The Gift of Rest: “Perceiving that, alone of all his treasure, Rest in the bottom lay”.
In the third stanza, God gave his reason for withholding the gift of rest from man. He withdrew this blessing because he felt giving man the gift of rest would make him conceited or excessively proud and man may not worship him: “He would adore my gifts instead of me, And rest in nature, not the God of Nature”. With the withdrawal of rest from man, man is thrown into perpetual restlessness so that he can always remember his creator whether as a result of goodness or weariness. Mans riches makes him forget about God. But the poet using the illustration of a pulley. Described the method which God have deviced to pull man back to Himself when man has gone far away from him. When a man loses all the good things of life, he remembers God again. A man looking for a job will always attend all church activities. But once God blesses him with a good job he uses the job as an excuse. He hadly creates time for God. But God can simply pull him back by taking away the job if he feels the job is keeping you far away from him.

Interdepartmental Transfer (IDT) Can be defined as a procedure in which they transfer funds from one account to another

-Entries made twice
-Entries not made at all
-Entries to the wrong account
-Reversed entries

-Entries made twice. If an entry is made twice, the trial balance will still be in balance, so that is not a good document for finding it. Instead, for an ongoing transaction, you may have to wait for the issue to resolve itself. For example, a duplicate invoice to a customer will be rejected by the customer, while a duplicate invoice from a supplier will (hopefully) be spotted during the invoice approval process.
-Entries not made at all . Impossible to find on the trial balance, since it is not there (!). Your best bet is to maintain a checklist of standard entries, and verify that all of them have been made.
-Entries to the wrong account . This may be apparent with a quick glance at the trial balance, since an account that previously had no balance at all now has one. Otherwise, the best form of correction is preventive-use standard journal entry templates for all recurring entries.
-Reversed entries . An entry for a debit may be mistakenly recorded as a credit, and vice versa. This issue may be visible on the trial balance, especially if the entry is large enough to change the sign of an ending balance to the reverse of its usual sign.

-Straight-Line depriciation
-Units of Production depriciation
-Double-declining Balance
-Accelerated depreciation method.

-It is relatively slow|It is fast
-It is prone to accident|Not prone to
-It is expensive to maintain|It is cheap to maintain
-It is a schedule form of transportation|It is not a schedule form of transportation

-Physical Supply Of Products:Transportation carries necessary
raw materials to factory for production of goods and supplies finished goods to consumers. It creates place and time utility of goods by transporting from one
place to another. It easily carries finished to the hands of those who need and use them. This significantly increases aggregate sales of goods. In fact, transport is such a key of marketing, which helps in carrying goods to the
scattered consumers in different places, narrows the gap between producers and consumers and facilitates to distribute goods to the consumers at minimum cost
and time
- Specialization:Transportation facility encourages division of labor and specialization on geographical or regional basis. Transportation cost highly affects localization of industries. Production of goods may center at such place where the
environment is the best and production cost is minimum. This makes maximum utilization of local resources possible, which is both economically and socially
- Mobility Of Labor And
Capital:Transportation facility provides mobility to labor and capital. If more labor force is available at any place, transport helps to carry it economically to
necessary place. The means of transport carry labors from one place to another.
This encourages labor and capital to use and invest in more productive sectors
- Stabilization In Price:Transportation helps to bring stability in price of different products. It transports goods
from more supplied places to scarcely supplied areas. This establishes coordination between demand and supply, and brings stability in prices. It helps to supply necessary goods regularly to the consumers. Besides this, consumers
get necessary goods at lower prices, because it encourages competition among producers and makes mass production at lower cost possible

-Raw materials:industries must be
located near the source of raw materials
-Availability of labour:industries are to be located where there are abundant labour supply
-Nearness to market:industries must be sited very close to market
-Power:industries must be sited where there will be constant supply of electricity
-Good road network:the road network linking the market and the industry must be good

-It help to improve standard of living
-It help to provide job opportunity
-it help to develop the infrastructure
-it help in diversification of the economy

-It helps to boast international trade
-It helps in capital formation
-it encourages the development of
science and technology
-It helps in stimulation of others sector
-it helps to control inflation due to mass production

Warehousing is the action or process of storing goods in a warehouse and the building up of a holding of shares in a company by buying numerous small lots of shares in the names of nominees, in order to make a takeover bid while remaining anonymous

-Receiving of Goods
-Preparation of Record

-Receiving of Goods: It is the basic
important function of the warehouse. When goods are handed over by the producer, it accepts the goods and assumes the responsibility to deliver the goods. It issues the receipts of goods

-Preparation of Record: The
warehouse keeper checks the items of each shipment and prepares the record. All the record is maintained properly to avoid any problem at the time of delivery

-Identification : After receiving the
goods warehouse keeper marks the
each items separately. He may use the code number or he may attach the tag for identification. Due to identification one can easily separate the goods of different firms

-Storing: It is the major function of
warehousing. The goods are kept
safely in warehouse. Today all types of fruits are available in each season due to the storing facility. There is a proper protection of goods like food crops in the warehouses.

(i) NEEDS:
The core concept of marketing is to
understand or feel the “human needs” that denotes the state of felt deprivation. Therefore being the marketers you need not go for
inventing these needs. Rather you
should try to understand it. The needs are in-built in human nature itself and thus naturally existed in the composition of human biology and human condition. When the needs are not satisfied, a person will try to either reduce the need or look for a substitute object that has the ability to satisfy the need. The need for food, clothing, shelter and safety are the basic physical needs and the needs of belongingness and affection are the
social needs. The individual needs
include the need for knowledge and
self expression.

(ii) WANTS:
Human wants are desires for specific satisfaction of deeper needs that means the needs become wants when they are directed to specific object that might satisfy the need. For example, a teenage may need water to quench his thirst but want to have a cold drink. Human needs may be few, but their wants are numerous. These wants are continually shaped and re-shaped by social forces and institutions such as families, collogues, office neighbours etc.
Marketers need not to create needs
because these needs pre-exist in the market. But they can influence the wants and suggest and inform the consumers about certain products and persuade them to purchase these by stressing the benefits of such products.

(iii) DEMANDS :
People may have almost unlimited
wants. But resources are limited in
compare to the wants they have.
Therefore they have to choose the
products that are likely to provide the most value and satisfaction for their money. When backed by purchasing power, wants become demand. Thus, demands are basically wants for specific products that are linked or
associated with the ability and willingness to pay for these products.
For example, many desire a car such as Mercedes Benz, Toyota, BMW, Honda etc. but only a few are really willing and able to buy one. Therefore being a marketing executive you must measure how many people would actually be willing and able to buy your
company’s products than how many of them want the products.

To satisfy the wants and needs of
people the company must offer their products in the market. That means people purchase the products to satisfy their needs and wants. Specifically, a product can be defined as an object, service, activity, person, place, organisation or idea. You can note here that the tangible items are known as product while the intangible
items are known as service. The hidden use of a physical objects may be to provide the service. For example a lipstick is bought to supply service (beautify); toothpaste for whiter teeth
– prevent germs or give fresh breath etc. Therefore it is the job of marketer to sell the service packages associated with the physical products. If you give
a thought, you will realise that the
importance of a product does not lay not so much in owning them than to use them to satisfy our wants. For example, we do not buy a bed just to admire it, but because it aids resting better.

We have already got that marketing takes place only when people decide to satisfy needs and wants through exchange. So in the process of marketing there is exchange value between the two party’s i.e buyer and seller. The value for buyer is to obtain
the desired object to satisfy its needs and wants while the value for the seller is generally the profit or the money. For example, hungry people can find food by hunting, fishing or gathering fruits. They could offer money, another food or a service in return for food. Marketing focuses on this last option. Kotler (1984) states
that for exchange to take place, it must satisfy five conditions, namely:
(i) There are at least two parties.
(ii) Each party has something that
might be of value to the other party.
(iii) Each party is capable of
communication and delivery.
(iv) Each party is free to accept

Organizational structure is a system that consists of explicit and implicit institutional rules and policies designed to outline how various work roles and responsibilities are delegated, controlled and coordinated.

-functional structure
-divisional structure

-Functional Structure: Functional structure is set up so that each portion of the organization is
grouped according to its purpose. In
this type of organization, for example, there may be a marketing department, a sales department and a production department. The functional
structure works very well for small
businesses in which each department can rely on the talent and knowledge of its workers and support itself. However, one of the drawbacks to a functional structure is that the coordination and communication between departments can be restricted by the organizational boundaries of having the various departments working separately.

-Divisional Structure: Divisional structure typically is used in
larger companies that operate in a
wide geographic area or that have
separate smaller organizations within the umbrella group to cover different types of products or market areas. For example, the now-defunct Tecumseh Products Company was organized divisionally--with a small engine
division, a compressor division, a parts division and divisions for each geographic area to handle specific needs. The benefit of this structure is that needs can be met more rapidly and more specifically; however, communication is inhibited because employees in different divisions are not working together. Divisional structure is costly because of its size and scope. Small businesses can use a divisional structure on a smaller scale, having different offices in different parts of the city, for example, or assigning different sales teams to handle different geographic areas.

Transportation is indispensible
function of marketing. Transportation provides the physical means of carrying goods and persons from one place to another. In other words, it is concerned with carrying
the goods from the places of
production to the places of their

-Transportation links the different
fixed facilities and markets and thus serves to neutralize the spatial
separation of the facilities.

-As a marketing function, therefore, it increases the economic value of the products by creating time and place utilities and promoting possession utility.

-For the producer, the transportation aids in moving raw materials and other components from the suppliers to the plants and warehouses and from plants and warehouses to other plants. It also involves the movement of finished goods from the plants to
the warehouses or distribution centers and to customers.

-The wholesaler transports goods from the warehouse or distribution centers to retailers.

The activity or profession of producing information for promoting the sale of commercial products or services.

One of the important roles of
advertising is to create awareness of the product or services such as brand name and price. The awareness of the product or services can be created through highlighting the unique features of the brand. Nowadays, due
to intense competition it is not just
enough to create awareness, but top of mind awareness is needed.

-Information: Advertising helps to inform the target audience about the product. Providing information is closely related to creating awareness of the product.
Potential customers must know about a product, such as product features and uses.

ADVERTISEMENTS: Product information is very much
required, especially when the product is introduced in the market, or when product modification is undertaken.
Proper product information can help the consumers in their purchase decision.

-Persuasion: When business firms offer similar products, the firm must not only inform the customers about the product’s availability, but also persuade them to buy it. Through persuasive messages, the marketers try to provide reasons regarding the
superiority of their products as
compared to others available in the
market. Persuasion can be undertaken through creative advertising messages, product demonstration at trade fairs, offering free gifts, premium offers and organizing contests.

-Attitudes: Promotion is required to build or reinforce attitudes in the minds of target audience. The marketers expect the target audience to develop a favourable attitude towards their brands. Positive attitude towards the
brand helps to increase its sales.
Through promotional techniques like advertising, the marketer can correct negative attitude towards the product, if any. Negative attitude can also be corrected through public relations and advertising

Kabria’s Encounter with Fofo: In sharp contrast to the life in Sodom and Gomorrah is Kabria’s life with her family. A mother of three lively children - Obea, Essie and Ottu, she lived in a decent neighbourhood in Accra, worked with MUTE a non-governmental agency and drove a problematic old car nick-named
Creamy. She ran into Fofo at the
Agbloghoshie market while shopping for vegetables. Kabria was standing with other spectators at the spot where Baby
T’s body was found when Fofo, disguising as a boy tried to steal her purse. Kabria rescued her from the angry mob. Fofo revealed her female identity and told Kabria that Baby T was her sister.
Meanwhile, a lot of people had been
made to believe that the dead girl (Baby T) was a kayayoo (a market porter from the north) to conceal her true identity and discourage further enquiry into her death. MUTE (the non-governmental
organisation where Kabria worked) got interested in Baby T’s matter and granted Fofo protection by taking her into
custody temporarily while conducting investigations into the circumstances surrounding death of her sister.

Naaman was a commander of the
army of Syria. He was a good
commander and was held in favor
because of victory that God brought
him. Yet Naaman was a leper. Naaman’s wife had a servant girl
from Israel who said that a prophet
there would be able to heal him.
Naaman tells his lord this and he is
sent to Israel with a letter to the king.
The king of Israel didn’t know what to do, yet Elisha came to the king
asking to see Naaman. He told him to go bathe in the Jordan seven times and he would be clean. Naaman was angry and would have left, but his servant asked him to try it. Then went he down, and dipped himself seven times in Jordan, according to the saying of the man of God: and his flesh came again like unto the flesh of a little child, and he was clean. And he
returned to the man of God, he and all his company, and came, and stood before him: and he said, Behold, now I know that there is no God in earth, but in Israel: now therefore, I pray thee, take a blessing of thy servant. But he said, As the LORD liveth, before whom I stand, I will receive none. And he urged him to take it; but he refused. And Naaman said, Shall there not then, I pray thee, be given to thy servant two mules'
burden of earth? for thy servant will henceforth offer neither burnt
offering nor sacrifice unto other gods, but unto the LORD. A servant of Elisha, seeing Naaman being turned away from offering God offerings ran after him and falsely asked for clothing and silver for visitors. And the leprosy from Naaman fell on Gehazi and would remain in his descendants. God
took this man from Syria and showed his power to him in order for him to return to his lord and share the power of the God of Israel.

(i) The supremacy of God over Man,
regardless of Namman's position
(ii) Healing of Naaman's leprosy
brought about the the glorification of God's name posing him as the only salvation to mankind.
(iii) The upliftment of the worthless
town of God, as the only place for
Naaman's healing. (Naaman had no
value for the river he was healed)

Prophet Ezekiel receiving his
commission from God to speak to the “house of Israel.” Like prophets
before him, Ezekiel was called to
bring adverse news to a disobedient nation. Similarly, God strengthened him against the opposition he would face from the people in carrying out his prophetic commission. He says,
“The house of Israel will not hearken unto thee; for they will not hearken unto me: for all the house of Israel are impudent and hardhearted. Behold, I have made thy face strong against their faces, and thy forehead strong against their foreheads. As an adamant [sharp stone] harder than flint have I made thy forehead: fear
them not, neither be dismayed at
their looks, though they be a
rebellious house.”
As he did with Isaiah, God gave
Ezekiel a vision of his power and glory, to infuse him with sufficient
strength to carry out his mission. God instructed Ezekiel to speak the
prophecy, whether Israel will hear or not. Immediately after hearing these words, Ezekiel sees another vision similar to the first. Through these miraculous events the prophet was being prepared and encouraged for use in God’s service.

matter his background.
(ii) Gods word is sweet and delightful
(iii) When God calls his people,he
equips them for the services.

The trial of Jesus before pilate
In the morning after he had been
tried by the priest, Jesus was taken to Pontius Pilate, the Roman Governor.
By Roman laws, the Jews could not put any man to death, so it had to be the Romans who could do so.
Meanwhile, Judas who had betrayed him saw what was happening, felt sorry for what he had done. He took the thirty pieces of silver to give them back to the priests. But the priests would have nothing to do with him.
Judas went out and changed himself.
The priests used the money to buy
"Potter's field, to bury strangers in.
The field was called "The field of blood"

James told Christians to count it all
joy, when they go through difficulties because it tests their faith. He said when faith is tested it produces steadfastness which makes people perfect and complete, and lack nothing. He taught that if anybody lacks wisdom, that person must ask
God. He assured that God would give it to him/her without holding back, because God is generous with such things. James wrote that whoever asked from God must ask in faith, not doubting because a person who doubts is like the wave of the sea, that is, driven and tossed by the wind.
That person would not receive anything from the Lord. James also
taught that the lowly brother must be allowed to boast in his exaltation and the rich also in his humiliation, because they will pass away like the grass or flower. Just as the beauty of the flower can wither away under the Sun, so also the rich man would perish away while pursuing his business. James wrote that if anyone was suffering, that person should pray and if any was cheerful that person, that person should sing praise.
He said if any was sick, that person
should call the elders of the church to pray over him, anoint him with oil in the name of the lord and the prayer of faith would save that sick person. The Lord will raise him up and if he had committed sins, the Lord will forgive him. James told the members to confess their sins to one another and pray for them to be healed. James taught that the prayers of a righteous man has power and is effective.

(i) Unforgiving spirit
(ii) Lack of repentance from personal sin
(iii) Lack of faith
