Ajumobi is portrayed as d character that heralds d genesis of Yaremi's predicament afta his demise.In d novel,Ajumobi is Yaremi's late husband & the father of segi,Wura and Alani.During his lifetime,he was a hunter and an exper in the field.He came to know the secret of the animals in the forest.
When he was alive he is portrayed as an averagely rich man as he owned a cocoa farm,banana trees,kolanut trees.Also portrayed was his loving character to Yaremi in the novel as he usually brought home bush meat to wet Yaremi's appetite.He showered love and affection to Yaremi and this later made it impossible for Yaremi to replace him during the cap-picking ceremony.

He was wise and perceptive as he usually gave Yaremi pieces of advice which marked him different from Kuffi's men. Kuffi men he did not impose or molest his wife rather she was showed love and adoration.He's an exceptional man that allows Yaremi some freedom and also helps her with some chores.
